Experimental changes for new season

Race entry numbers were down last season, although the Series membership remained about the same. Recent email feedback and the Facebook polls indicated support for one day racing at two day meetings (if aligned with Trofeo) and for combined grids (especially with longer races). The Series will try out a few changes for the 2019-2020 season.

At the HRC two day meetings, the ERC Series will pair with the Trofeo series to race on one day only, at least in Auckland. Trofeo will race on Saturdays and ERC on Sundays. The ERC grids will be combined and I expect the races to be a bit longer. The scratch race will have AES flagged off first and the Arrow Wheels grid following later. Expect new rules to ensure AES cars don’t lose laps!

The TACCOC one day meetings will have separate AES and Arrow Wheels grids (as not everyone likes combined grids) so long as the entries justify two grids.
